Composer, author (born near Milan) – Luca Caristina’s musical journey began studying piano at the age of 8 with M° Salvatore Maniscalco. Later He attended the main Piano Class at Accademia di musica “A. Vivaldi” led by M° Gilberto Crepaldi, former violinist of the “Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano”, under the guidance of Professor V. Rabagliati.
Meanwhile He dedicates to musical experimentation as keyboardist and arranger in bands/ensembles in the early 90’s, around the Metropolitan City of Milan.
In 1995, all musical projects are temporarily put on hold to achieve a Degree in Molecular Biology at Università degli Studi of Milan, working on the sequencing of a human gene.
In the following years He goes back to music specializing in technologies and software for musical production, also developing expertise in the field of Virtual Sound Technology (VST instruments) for education and musical entertainment.
In 2006 He is Semifinalist at First Edition of “Piano Festival Competition” organized by ROLAND Italy with an arrangement from movie soundtracks in the form of a Piano solo medley.
The Authors that most influenced his experience as a musician/composer are: J. Brahms, F. Liszt, S. Prokofiev, A. Scriabin and contemporary composer H. Zimmer.
Since 2007 He is committed with passion to composition for Piano solo, electronic and poly-instrumental music, as well. He also leads Workshops of intuitive composition.
